Electronic Point-Detonating (PD) Fuzes

DDPL designs electronic point-detonating fuzes intended for UAV-delivered and loitering munition warheads, where controlled and immediate initiation on impact is critical.

These fuzes use electronic sensing and arming logic to ensure:

  • Positive isolation during handling, carriage, and flight
  • Reliable initiation only upon validated impact conditions
  • Consistent performance across varying target types

Battery-Less Electronic Fuzes – LM Series

The LM Series is DDPL’s battery-less electronic fuze family, primarily intended for kamikaze and loitering drone applications. These designs eliminate onboard power sources, relying instead on event-based electronic logic derived from launch, flight, and impact conditions.

The LM architecture is designed to scale across multiple calibres while maintaining common safety and control logic.

LM variants include: LM 30/ LM 40/ LM 60/ LM 150

This approach enables efficient development, reduced system complexity, and improved reliability for lightweight warhead applications.

Powered Electronic Fuzes – DM Series

The DM Series represents DDPL’s powered electronic fuze designs, incorporating an internal power source to support enhanced electronic functionality.

Powered architectures enable:

  • Precise electronic timing functions
  • Configurable arming and delay logic
  • Expanded sensing and control capability

These designs are suitable for applications where mission profiles demand greater flexibility or advanced electronic control.

Electronic Fuzes for Air-Delivered and Flying Munition Systems

DDPL is extending its electronic fuze expertise toward indirect-fire munition calibres as part of its forward development roadmap. Key focus areas include:
  • 81 mm Electronic Fuze Architecture – serving as a core reference design for scalable electronic fuze development
  • 120 mm Electronic Multi-Option Fuze – supporting selectable detonation modes and enhanced electronic control
These systems are being developed with an emphasis on safety, configurability, and compatibility with modern fuze setting and programming concepts.

Universal Electronic Fuze Architecture (30 mm & 40 mm) – Development Program

DDPL is defining a common electronic fuze architecture for 30 mm and 40 mm ammunition as part of an ongoing development program. The objective is to support point detonation, delay, and electronically timed effects through a scalable and programmable electronic core.

Warhead Subsystems & System Integration

Beyond electronic fuzing, Divyastra Dynamics Pvt. Ltd. (DDPL) supports the development of complete warhead subsystems through design, integration, and coordination with qualified partners. Our focus is on ensuring that all warhead elements function as a coherent, safe, and mission-aligned system.

Warhead Subsystem Elements

DDPL contributes to the design and integration of non-energetic warhead components, including:

  • Electronic Fuzes & Control Electronics Electronic fuzes, safe-and-arm devices, warhead control units (WCU), and associated control logic for arming, timing, and system safety.
  • Warhead Control Units (WCU) Electronic modules responsible for control logic, health monitoring, mode selection, and interface with the delivery platform.
  • Mechanical Liners & Effect Structures Design coordination for liners, fragment carriers, pre-formed elements (such as metal cones or ball matrices), and internal structures that define terminal effects.
  • Warhead Casings & Structural Components Mechanical housings, containers, and structural elements designed to meet dimensional, weight, and launch-load requirements.
  • Interconnects & Electrical Interfaces Connectors, wiring, and interface hardware enabling reliable electrical communication between fuze, WCU, sensors, and platform systems.

Embedded Software & Control Logic Development and configuration of embedded software governing safety checks, arming sequences, timing logic, and mission-specific behaviour.

System-Level Integration & Platform Interface

DDPL works at the system integration level, ensuring that warhead electronics and mechanical subsystems interface correctly with the delivery platform.

Integration support includes:

  • Electrical and communication interfaces between warhead electronics and UAV or loitering munition platforms
  • Mechanical fitment, mass distribution, and centre-of-gravity coordination
  • Verification of arming, release, flight, and terminal logic sequences
  • Support during integration trials and system-level testing
